Geneseo's summer reading program has been on hiatus for the last few years but is coming back on a small scale for 2014. First-year sstudents who are members of Dante House (Wayne Hall) and the Monroe Living Learning Community )Monroe Hall) are required to participate, but all students are welcome to read this year's selection and participate in a diswcussion during opening weekend. Yous hould be notified about your group by email. Should you have any questions, pleae contact the Office of Residence Life at 585-245-5726.
1pm-3pm YouBelong Transfer Student Picnic South Village Volleyball Court (Rain Location: Nassau Hall Main Lounge)

1pm Equestrian Team Open House at Leg Up Stables Transportation will depart from Merritt Athletic Center Bus Loop at 12:45pm
The Geneseo Equestrian Team Open House will be a chance for new students to come and meet the horses, coach, and girls of the the Geneseo Equestrian Team. Information about the competitive varsity team and the lesson package program will be provided at this event. No riding experience is necessary . The open house will be held at Leg Up Stables and transportation will be provided. 6:30pm-7:30pm New Student Convocation Wadsworth Auditorium
All first-year students convene in Wadsworth Auditorium to usher in the new college year with an official welcome from the President. Faculty and staff from across campus gather in their regalia to honor the Class of 2018 and a specially selected faculty member gives a short and not-to-be missed address to the Class.
7:30pm-9:30pm First Knight Celebration College Green
Student Association, Geneseo's student government, welcomes you to campus with this traditional event. Listen to live music and enjoy food and activities with your class. Events sponsored by: Geneseo Late Knight, First Year Programs, Residence Life, Department of Student Life, Activities Commission, Student Association, Campus Scheduling & Special Events
9pm-11:30pm Meet Ups Residence Halls
Meet ups are fun events that are scheduled around campus during Opening Weekend. They will range from board games to campus tours to indoor soccer games. Click on the word 'Meet Ups' to learn more.
