The Geneseo Village Police Department has advised the SUNY Geneseo University Police Department that since March 23rdof
this year there have been several thefts in the Court St. area to the north of the SUNY Geneseo campus. These thefts have occurred
at apartments and in vehicles that have not been locked/secured during the hours of 10 PM to 5 AM. The persons responsible have
been primarily taking small electronic games and devices. This crime alert is to remind people to lock their vehicles and residences
in order to limit opportunity for others to enter these areas. Please contact 911 if you have any information in regard to these thefts.
Please also call 911 if you notice suspicious persons in or around village or college parking lots.

Early this morning, April 6, 2012, officers from the University Police Department came in contact with two individuals in Parking
Lot R, which is located across from Erie Hall. These individuals had multiple items on their person which may have been stolen
from vehicles in that area. If your vehicle was parked in Parking Lot R overnight please check your vehicle as quickly as possible
and report any stolen items to University Police at 585-245-5651. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.
