Crime Alert

4/22/15: The SUNY Geneseo University Police department has received information that a student was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance, who is also a student at SUNY Geneseo.   The incident is reported to have occurred at an off campus house located in the Village of Geneseo.  Any person who is familiar with this report or has any information regarding this incident should contact the Geneseo Village Police department at 585-243-2420, Livingston County Sheriff’s Office at 585-243-7100 or the University Police Department at 585-245-5222. A joint Task Force has been created between the Village of Geneseo Police, Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the University Police Department to investigate any further leads.

The University Police Department provides quality law enforcement services to the college community. Members are sworn to protect constitutional rights and maintain high standards of personal and professional ethics. The department promotes responsible citizenship and positive relationships among all segments of the campus community, and provides educational programs on crime prevention and safety concerns.
