Geneseo Symphony March 30 to Include Student Concerto Winners

GENESEO, N.Y – The SUNY Geneseo Symphony Orchestra will perform works by Beethoven and Bizet March 30 at 3 p.m. in Wadsworth Auditorium. Jim Tiller, a music department lecturer and principal percussionist for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, will be conducting. The event is free and open to the public.

The orchestra will present Beethoven’s “Egmont Overture” and Bizet’s “L’Arlesienne Suite No. 2”. The concert will also highlight the student concerto competition winners.

The Geneseo Symphony Orchestra is a collaboration among the best wind, percussion and string players from the faculty and gifted student performers.
