SUNY Geneseo student-athletes to rake leaves for senior citizens
A SUNYAC-wide (State University of New York Athletic Commission) leaf-raking drive to benefit senior citizens. For the last two years, student-athletes from the State University of New York at Geneseo have raked roughly 50-55 yards throughout the village over a span of three hours. This will be the 15th year the College is participating in the event.
Approximately 200 students-athletes will participate from all 20 Geneseo athletic teams.
The leaf raking will take place from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5.
The students will be spread out over the village, starting at Westview Crescent and Stuyvesant Manor early in the day and moving to the Lima Road/Melody Lane area toward the end of the day.
Come to the village of Geneseo to capture this annual event. For more information or to arrange an interview, contact Sports Information Director George J. Gagnier Jr. at (585) 245-5346 or email@example.com. On the day of the event, Gagnier can be reached on his cell phone at (585) 739-8207.
