SUNY Geneseo president elected vice chairman of
national organization
GENESEO,
N.Y. — State University of New York at Geneseo President Christopher C.
Dahl has been appointed vice chairman of the Association of American Colleges
and Universities (AAC&U).
Dahl will serve as vice chairman of AAC&U during the
2006-07 academic year. In 2007, he will serve as chairman of the board.
"I am honored to have been elected by my peers to serve this
national organization committed to extending the advantages of a liberal
education to all students," said Dahl. "I will work diligently to pursue the
mission of the AAC&U."
The appointments and elections were made during the
AAC&U's annual meeting in March in Washington, D.C.
AAC&U is the leading national association concerned with
the quality, vitality and public standing of undergraduate liberal education.
Founded in 1915, the organization comprises more than 1,000 accredited public
and private colleges and universities.
