CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR APRIL 7-13

THURSDAY, APRIL 7:

DANCE CONCERT: The School of Performing Arts presents the Orchesis Dance Concert titled "Beyond The Studio Mirror." 8 p.m., Robert Sinclair Theatre, Brodie Hall. Tickets are $3 and can be purchased at the Brodie Box Office (245-5833).

LEDERER GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Bertha V.B. Lederer Gallery in Brodie Hall presents the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition. There will be an opening reception from 12-2 p.m. with pizza and prize announcements. The gallery is open daily from 2-4:30 p.m. and Thursdays 12-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Friday, April 29.

FRIDAY, APRIL 8:

CONCERT: The School of Performing Arts presents a joint concert with the Geneseo Wind Ensemble and the R.I.T. Concert Band. The program will feature the premiere of a new work for trumpet and large wind ensemble, written and performed by guest artist Phillip Snedecor. 8 p.m., Wadsworth Auditorium. Free and open to the public.

LEDERER GALLERY EXHIBIT: (See Thursday, April 7).

LOCKHART GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Lockhart Gallery, located in the McClellan House, presents a multimedia installation by Cyril Reade titled "O’ Jerusalem." Reade, an internationally exhibited sculptor, is an assistant professor of art at Rochester Institute of Technology. Originally exhibited in the Art Gallery of the CUNY College of Staten Island, "O’ Jerusalem" combines drawings, brass reliefs, sculpture in the round and photography, to explore the complex interrelations between Arab and Israeli culture as embodied in both the current and the historical situation of Jerusalem. There will be an opening reception from 5-7:30 p.m. The gallery is open daily from 2-5 p.m. and Thursdays 12-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Friday, May 6.

OPUS GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Opus Gallery in the MacVittie College Union presents Dan McCollester’s Senior Show. There will be an opening reception from 4-6 p.m. The gallery is open daily from 1-5 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Sunday, April 17.

SPORTS: Women’s Softball vs. Potsdam. 3 p.m., Raschi Field. Free and open to the public.
