SUNY Geneseo calendar of events for April 27-May 3
THURSDAY, APRIL 27:
KINETIC GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Kinetic Gallery, on the second floor of the MacVittie College
Union, presents an exhibit by senior Zach Dietl titled "Paintings." The gallery
is open Mondays 2-5 p.m., Tuesdays 12:30-5 p.m., Wednesdays 2-7 p.m., Thursdays
12:30-7 p.m., Fridays 2-5 p.m. and Saturdays 12-4 p.m. Free and open to the
public. The exhibit runs through Saturday, April 29.
LEDERER GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Bertha V.B. Lederer Gallery, in Brodie
Hall, presents the Juried Student Exhibition. The gallery is open daily from
2-4:30 p.m. and Thursdays 12-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit
runs through Friday, April 28.
LOCKHART GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Lockhart Gallery, located in the
McClellan House, presents an exhibit by Chea Peng titled "Journey." The gallery
is open daily from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Free and
open to the public. The exhibit runs through Friday, May 5.
PERFORMANCE: The School of the Arts and GENseng, Geneseo's Asian
American Performance Ensemble, presents a play by Catherine Filloux titled
"Eyes of the Heart." The play tells the story of Cambodian refugee Thida San
who has willed herself to go blind in the aftermath of Pol Pot's autogenocide
which took the lives of 25% of the Cambodian population between 1975 and 1979.
7 p.m., Black Box Theatre, Brodie Hall. Tickets are $6 and may be purchased at
the Brodie Box Office (245-5833).
SPORTS: Women's Softball vs. Cazenovia. 3 p.m., Raschi Field. Free
and open to the public.

of the Arts presents the China Tour Benefit Concert with the Geneseo Symphony
Tour Orchestra. James Walker will serve as conductor. The performance will
include Barber's Adagio for Strings, Ives' The Unanswered
Question, Diamond's Rounds, Copland's Tender Land Suite, Thomson's Fugue and Chorale on Yankee
Doodle, Hovhaness' Prayer of
Saint Gregory and Bernstein's West
Side Story Selections. 3 p.m., Wadsworth
Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for the general public; $3 for faculty and staff;
and $2 for SUNY Geneseo students. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
