SUNY Geneseo calendar of events for April 20-26

THURSDAY, APRIL 20:

CONCERT: The School of the Arts presents the Geneseo Jazz Ensemble with Jonathan Kruger directing. 8 p.m., Wadsworth Auditorium. Free and open to the public.

DANCE PERFORMANCE: The School of the Arts presents the Geneseo Dance Ensemble featuring faculty and guest choreography. 8 p.m., Alice Austin Theatre, Brodie Hall. Tickets are $7 and may be purchased at the Brodie Box Office (245-5833) or at the door on the night of the performance.

LEDERER GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Bertha V.B. Lederer Gallery, in Brodie Hall, presents the Juried Student Exhibition. The gallery is open daily from 2-4:30 p.m. and Thursdays 12-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Friday, April 28.

LOCKHART GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Lockhart Gallery, located in the McClellan House, presents an exhibit by Chea Peng titled "Journey." The gallery is open daily from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Friday, May 5.

FRIDAY, APRIL 21:

CONCERT: The School of the Arts presents the Geneseo Wind Ensemble with James Walker conducting. The performance will feature Curnow's Toward the Sun Rising, Daugherty's Niagara Falls, Gould's American Salute and Miaskovsky's Symphony No. 19. 8 p.m., Wadsworth Auditorium. Free and open to the public.

KINETIC GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Kinetic Gallery, on the second floor of the MacVittie College Union, presents an exhibit by senior Zach Dietl titled "Paintings." There will be an opening reception at 7 p.m. The gallery is open Mondays 2-5 p.m., Tuesdays 12:30-5 p.m., Wednesdays 2-7 p.m., Thursdays 12:30-7 p.m., Fridays 2-5 p.m. and Saturdays 12-4 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Saturday, April 29.

The performance is titled "Mostly Mozart: Mozart Mass in C and Great Choral Music of Mozart (and others) in Celebration of the 250^th Anniversary of the birth of Mozart." 3 p.m., Wadsworth Auditorium. Free and open to the public.
