SUNY Geneseo Calendar of Events for December 1-7
THURSDAY, DEC. 1:
LOCKHART GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Lockhart Gallery, located in the
McClellan House, presents the Guy LeClair Landscape Painting Exhibit. The
gallery is open daily from 11:30 a.m.-4 p.m. and Fridays 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Free
and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Monday, Dec. 12.
PERFORMANCE: The School of the Arts and GENseng: Geneseo's Asian
American Performance Ensemble presents "Kwatz! The Tibetan Project: The Sound
of a Hammer Hitting the Head" by Ernest Auba. Directed by Randy Barbara Kaplan.
7 p.m., Robert Sinclair Theater, Brodie Hall. Tickets are $6 and may be
purchased at the Brodie Box Office (245-5833).
FRIDAY, DEC. 2:
HOLIDAY DINNER: The
School of the Arts presents a Holiday Dinner with the Geneseo Chamber Singers.
6 p.m., MacVittie College Union Ballroom. Tickets are $25 for the general
public; $23.50 for faculty, staff, alumni and senior citizens; and $19 for SUNY
Geneseo students. Tickets may be purchased at the MacVittie College Union
Ticket Office (245-5873).

CONCERT: The School
of the Arts presents internationally acclaimed pianist Rebecca Penneys. Hailed
as a pianist of prodigious talent, she possesses a
daredevil technique, the sort of charismatic stage presence that demands
attention, and an interpretive gift that make her performances revelatory. 3
p.m., Wadsworth Auditorium. Admission at the door is $8 for the general public
and $5 for SUNY Geneseo students.
