LEDERER GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Bertha V.B. Lederer Gallery in Brodie Hall presents an exhibit by fabric artist Mary Ann Scarborough of Rochester and cibachrome photographer Mark Abrahamson of Seattle. The gallery is open daily from 2-4:30 p.m. and Thursdays 12-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Friday, Dec. 3.

LOCKHART GALLERY EXHIBIT: The Lockhart Gallery at McClellan House presents "Embracing Eatonville." This exhibition is being organized by internationally renowned photographer Carrie Mae Weems and features her work, as well as that of acclaimed photographers Dawoud Bey, Lonnie Graham and Deborah Willis. The show is conceived of as a photographic survey of the people and history of Eatonville, Fla., the nation’s first incorporated African-American town and the home of celebrated Harlem Renaissance author Zora Neale Hurston. The four photographers respond to the town and its residents in diverse ways, ranging from Bey’s straightforward, almost anthropological portraits to Weems’s more poetic, evocatively personal meditations. The gallery is open daily from 2-5 p.m. and Thursdays 12-8 p.m. Free and open to the public. The exhibit runs through Friday, Dec. 10.

PERFORMANCE: The School of Performing Arts and GENseng present "S.A.M. I Am" by Garrett Omata and directed by Randy Barbara Kaplan. 7 p.m., Robert Sinclair Theatre, Brodie Hall. Tickets are $4 and can be purchased at the Brodie Box Office (245-5833).

HOLIDAY DINNER/CONCERT: The Limelights & Accents Performing Arts Series presents The Geneseo Chamber Singers in "A Dickens Christmas." Celebrate the holiday season with an evening of dinner and music performed by Geneseo’s Chamber Singers. This year’s concert will feature 19^th century costumes and music based on the writings of Charles Dickens. Gerard Floriano will direct the concert. 6 p.m., MacVittie College Union Ballroom. Tickets are $25 for the general public; $23.50 for faculty, staff, alumni, senior citizens and children under 12; and $19 for SUNY Geneseo students.
