For Immediate Release — July 30, 2003

GENESEO, N.Y. — Scott Edward Buckhout, son of Glenn and Kathleen Buckhout of Stormville, N.Y., and a graduate of John Jay East High School, has received the Alumni Senior Award in Legal Studies from the department of political science at the State University of New York at Geneseo.

Buckhout, an Honors Program student, received a framed Certificate of Achievement and $1,000 in recognition of his academic achievement. He made the Dean’s List in his first two years, and the President’s List in his junior year. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science summa cum laude at the college’s commencement in May.

He will attend Notre Dame Law School in the fall.
