Welcome from the
Alcohol & Other Drug
Program Coordinator

Sarah2015Here's a little information about what I do:

  • Educate students through programs such as BASICS and Choices (see below).

  • Meet with students for individual consultations to discuss any potential alcohol and/or other drug concerns (to schedule a meeting with me, please call Counseling Services at 585-245-5716).

  • Oversee the work of the AOD Advocates, a group of students trained in having meaningful conversations with their peers about alcohol and/or other drugs. To make an appointment, email aodadvocates@geneseo.edu
  • Work with students looking to change their substance use though SUMMiT (Substance Use Moderation through Mindfulness Training), an education and support group centered on learning and practicing mindfulness skills.
  • Help parents talk to their students about alcohol during First Year Orientation.  (Download a new copy of the Talking with College Students About Alcohol handbook if needed.)
