The Syracuse Chiefs have fifteen internship positions available for the Summer 2014 semester. Internships are unpaid, for-credit positions allowing students to gain hands-on experience producing live events for the Chiefs throughout the semester. Responsibilities include assisting the director at all games and live events; operating live-feed cameras and other equipment for all live games; shooting and editing sponser material; producing creative content for entertainment segments (using Adobe Premiere/Avid/Adobe Audition); generating simple animations; and more. Canisius College has two graduate assistantship positions available. The first position is for the 2014-2015 academic year, and the second will be available May 2015 for the 2015-2016 academic year. The Women’s Press Club of New York State, Inc. is awarding a scholarship to a qualifying student interested in resuming or continuing his or her studies toward a career in communications or a related field. Students must be matriculated no later than the start of the Fall 2014 semester in a field that fosters the development of communication skills. The scholarship's value is $1,000. Geneseo's CIT is actively seeking a graphic designer / web content assistant! The position is part-time, about five hours per week, and only available to full-time Geneseo students. This position entails assisting with publications, marketing web graphics/training/other materials, and evaluating consistency/reliability/usability of web content. Applicants should be proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, namely Photoshop and Illustrator, and should be strong, clear communicators with a basic understanding of web technologies. This assistant producer will coordinate and schedule guests for daily segments, research academic journals and websites, do online publishing and marketing, and be production support. Rochester Business Journal has an events/marketing internship available. Intern will be involved in the management, planning and execution of RBJ events. The ideal intern is detail-oriented and has excellent communication and organizational skills. This person can work well independently and under deadlines.
