New Internships and Other Opportunities

Manning & Napier, a Rochester area investment firm, has just announced a job opportunity as Junior Marketing Associate. Details available in Knightjobs (posting 9419). The Hispanic Public Relations Association of NY (HPRA-NY) is offering two scholarships, each in the amount of $2,000, to sophomore or junior students of Hispanic origin to help then achieve their educational goals. Recipients of the scholarships will also receive a free, one-year student membership to HRPA. To apply, fill out the required application and follow all application instructions.

The Livingston County Historical Society is currently seeking a student intern to help with the design and layout of The Livingston County Historical Review, a new publication by the Society. Applicants must be familiar with Adobe InDesign or Publisher as well as Photoshop and similar programs. The internship may be worth more credit if the student intern assists with updates to social media and the Society's website, and assists with publicizing programs and events. The Verdi Group is an advertising agency located in Pittsford, NY seeking a writer to join their staff this June. This is a FULL-TIME, PAID position at the agency. Geneseo's CIT is actively seeking a graphic designer / web content assistant! The position is part-time, about five hours per week, and only available to full-time Geneseo students. This position entails assisting with publications, marketing web graphics/training/other materials, and evaluating consistency/reliability/usability of web content. Applicants should be proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, namely Photoshop and Illustrator, and should be strong, clear communicators with a basic understanding of web technologies. WAMC/Northeast Public Radio, located in Albany, is looking for a full-time assistant producer. This assistant producer will coordinate and schedule guests for daily segments, research academic journals and websites, do online publishing and marketing, and be production support. Applicants should be detail-oriented, articulate, and self-motivated, with excellent news judgment and two years of production experience.
