Roberts Communications, Inc. is looking for a public relations intern for the spring semester. Responsibilities may include drafting/distributing news releases, researching clients and competitors, providing assistance to the public relations team and co-workers in other departments, monitoring client news coverage, helping coordinate presentations and meetings, and more. Interested students should have or be willing to develop strong writing, organization, and interpersonal communication skills. The Chronicle of Higher Education is looking for four interns for summer 2014, from May to August. The internships are full-time in Washington, D.C. and include a $500 weekly stipend. Interns will report and write daily news articles for The Chronicle's Web site (which often appear subsequently in print), write news articles for other sections of the newspaper, blog, and do research for special projects. The New York Times is holding a Win a Trip with Nick contest. Winners will be taking a trip in 2014 with Nicholas Kristof, a New York Times reporter, to the developing world. Skooloko is looking for interns to assist in content generation for the website. Interns will write news articles relating to academic achievements, concerts, laws affecting students, or other subjects covering college-related news stories. Livingston County Tourism (Livingston County Area Chamber of Commerce Office of Tourism and Marketing) is looking for a New Media Specialist, which is a PAID JOB POSITION. The job requires strong computer, internet, and social media skills, along with press release writing and organizational skills.
