Summary of Class of 2011 Follow Up Study

The Office of Career Development, in cooperation with the Office of Institutional Research, conducts an annual follow up survey of Geneseo graduates.  The report presents an overview and analysis of the post-Geneseo plans of the most recent graduating baccalaureate class.  Particular attention is paid to employment and graduate or professional school status.  In addition, information concerning programs and activities of the Office of Career Development is presented.

SUMMARY OF POST-GRADUATION STATUS BY ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS 2009-2011

The following pages indicate the initial plans of the Class of 2011, obtained three to six months after commencement.  Comparable information from previous years is also presented.  With the exception of positions obtained by graduates of professional studies programs, many of the positions reported are not directly related to the undergraduate major. They may represent the beginning of a long-term career or merely the first of several unrelated jobs.
