School of Business Students Lend a Helping Hand
Over the 2015 tax season more than 150 tax returns were prepared by the newly revitalized VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program led by Adjunct Lecturer in Accounting, Michelle Towner, CPA. Livingston County residents, over 65 years of age and having an income of less than $53,000 were able to make appointments through the Office of the Aging to have their taxes prepared and filed. Space for the VITA site was donated by Goodwill, Geneseo, NY. A hearty Thank You and Job Well Done go out to Professor Towner and her student volunteers, Zhi Li, Kristin Woodhead, Bobbi Jo Norton, Olga Bilokin, Ian Rawluk, Michael Maniello, Jeff Florkowski and Shawn Gearing!
