Shenandoah, Texas – Three Geneseo swimmers competed during Friday’s preliminary competition on the third day of the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
Sophomore Haleigh Wixson (Montour Falls/Watkins Glen) finished 19th in the
100-yard backstroke, posting a school-record time of 56.88.
Sophomore Eileen Goralski (Queensbury/Queensbury) was 23rd in the 100-yard
breaststroke with a time of 1:06.37.
Junior Lily Powell (Selkirk/Bethlehem) placed 28th in the 200-yard butterfly in
2:08.73.
Geneseo’s 800-yard freestyle relay team closes out the Knights’ Friday
entrants.
The Knights have moved up to 15th in the team standings.
Eight Knights are competing in a total of 13 events at the NCAA Championships,
which conclude Saturday.
