The host Nazareth Golden Flyers scored a power play goal 3:34 into overtime to secure a 3-2 victory over the Geneseo men's ice hockey team. The first year program Flyers were outshot by a 52-23 margin but first year goaltender Ed Zdolshek made 50 saves to propel Nazareth to victory. Nazareth opened the scoring at 9:51 when Jordan Ciccarello went in on a breakaway and scored in the first period. Geneseo evened the game at the final buzzer of the first period as Corbin Rosmarin scored on a scramble in front off an initial shot by Justin Scharfe. After a scoreless second frame, Geneseo took a 2-1 lead when Rosmarin netted his second of the game from Scharfe and first year Alex Lubczak. The Golden Flyers tied the game on the power play when Ciccarello got his second of the game on a slap shot from the left point. Sophomore Bryan Haude made 20 saves in taking the loss. The two teams meet on Saturday afternoon in a Parents Weekend matinee in the Ira S. Wilson Arena in Geneseo at 4 p.m.
