Seven members of the Geneseo men's outdoor track and field team and six members of the Geneseo women's outdoor track and field team have been named to the 2012 SUNYAC Outdoor Track and Field All-Conference team as announced by the State University of New York Athletic Conference on Wednesday, May 9.
Senior Eddie Novara highlights the selections for the Blue Knights as he was one of three men to earn first team All-SUNYAC after winning the 10,000 meters and 1,500 meters at the 2012 SUNYAC Outdoor championships. Senior Lee Berube, who won the 5,000 meters and senior Colin Keenan, who won the high jump, earned first team recognition.
Seniors Chris Carter, who was second in the 800 meters and Wenley Louis, who was second in the long and triple jumps and juniors Alex Brimstein, who was second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and 5,000 meters and Chris Mateer, who was second in the 10,000 meters, claimed second team All-SUNYAC.
For the women, senior Kelly Brunscheen, junior Marissa Liberati and sophomore Mary Aldridge earned first team All-SUNYAC, while senior Julie Cook, sophomore Allison Hoh and first year Keira Wood garnered second team All-SUNYAC.
Brunscheen won the 800 meters, Liberati captured the 3000-meter steeplechase and Aldridge won the 1,500 meters. Cook placed second in the high jump, Hoh was second in the 400 hurdles and Wood placed second in the 800 meters.
