Sophomore Kayla DeAngelis (pictured left) had a goal and an assist to lead the visiting Geneseo women's field hockey team to a 3-0 blanking of the Hartwick Hawks this afternoon. Geneseo took a 1-0 lead at 27:17 of the first half when junior Rachel Atkins scored off an assist from senior Katie Gallo on a penalty corner situation. In the second half, DeAngelis sprung free and scored unassisted on a one-on-one with the goalie at 46:44 for her team-best eighth goal of the year. The Blue Knights completed the scoring at 51:11 when DeAngelis passed in front to sophomore Kelsey Horan, who converted for her third goal of the season. Geneseo is 6-3 on the campaign and travels to William Smith on Wednesday.
