The men's ice hockey team hosted the Manhattanville Valients and dropped a tough 6-5 decision this afternoon. Geneseo trailed 5-2 going into the third period, scored three goals, capped by Blake O'Connor's first of the year with 1:11 left to tie the score, before the Valients won the game with 44 seconds to play. Geneseo fell behind 2-0 after one period and trailed 4-0 by the 8:50 mark of the second. Sophomore David Arduin scored a pair of power play goals, the first from sophomore Stefan Decosse and the second from senior Dan Brown, to cut the deficit to 4-2. In the third, Clint Olson scored his first of the season from Andrew Rygiel and Phil Rose at 4:58, Decosse scored on the power play from Arduin and Scagnelli at 11:20 before O'Connor scored on a fluke dump in from center ice to tie the game.
