GENESEO, N.Y. – The Geneseo ice hockey team (3-4-1) dropped a 5-1 decision to #7 Hobart (3-0-2) Saturday at Wilson Arena.

First year Nate Brown (Bethel Park, Pa./Bay State Breakers) scored the Geneseo goal,  picking up a power play goal in the third period off assists from senior Kaz Iwamoto (Tomakomai, Japan/Wyoming Seminary) and sophomore Justin Scharfe (Webster/Bridgewater Bandits). Senior Adrian Rubeniuk (Grandview, Man./Dauphin Kings) stopped eight of nine shots after entering the game in the second period.

Geneseo continues its home stand Friday, hosting #4 Plattsburgh.
