Cleveland, Ohio – In the first set of fall standings for the Learfield Directors’ Cup, Geneseo stands 28th among the nation's 442 Division III schools; the Blue Knights are the highest ranking State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) institution and rank third among the state of New York’s 62 schools (the most of any state).

The standings for the Directors' Cup (formerly known as the Sears Cup) are determined by a school's finish in NCAA playoff competition in selected sports. Geneseo, who placed 54th in last year's standings, has recorded six top-50 finishes.
