Select members of the Geneseo outdoor track and field team traveled to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for the ECAC championships on Thursday and Friday. On the women's side, Geneseo captured 15th place of 55 scoring teams with 24 points. First year Keira Wood led a 2-3-4 finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2:12.51, while senior Kelly Brunscheen ran a 2:13.19 and junior Cailin Kowalewski crossed in 2:14.95. Junior Marissa Liberati scored points with a fourth place time of 4:38.96 in the 1,500 meters.
For the men, senior Wenley Louis won the long jump with a distance of 7.19 meters, which stands 19th nationally. Junior Alex Brimstein was fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a time of 9:07.41 and first year Patrick Wortner scored with an eighth place finish in the 10,000 meters with a time of 32:31.81 as Geneseo was 19th of 63 scoring teams with 16 points.
