Select members of the Geneseo outdoor track and field team participated in the ECAC Division III championships at Moravian (Pa.) College on Thursday and Friday. The Geneseo men finished 13th of 58 scoring teams with 21.5 points as senior Mark Streb won the 1,500 meters in an NCAA provisional time of 3:52.38 to lead the way. Senior Lee Gabler and sophomore Tom Clark scored in the 1,500 with the former running sixth in 3:54.57 and the latter placing seventh in 3:54.75. Junior Nwana Okafor finished third in the long jump with a distance of 7.02 meters. On the women's side, the Blue Knights were 25th of 56 scoring teams with 11 points as junior Alyssa Smith won the 800 meters in an NCAA provisional and school record time of 2:12.46 and sophomore Marissa Liberati finished eighth in the 1,500 meters in an NCAA provisional time of 4:35.67.
