Shenandoah,
Texas –Geneseo’s 800-yard freestyle relay placed 14th at the NCAA Swimming
& Diving Championships, earning all-America honors.

Vairo (Poquott/Ward Melville), senior Elyssa
Max (New Hartford/New Hartford) and sophomore Abby Max (New Hartford/New Hartford) posted a time of 7:37.20.
Sophomore Haleigh Wixson
(Montour Falls/Watkins Glen) finished 19th in the
100-yard backstroke, posting a school-record time of 56.88.
Sophomore Eileen Goralski
(Queensbury/Queensbury) was 23rd in the 100-yard
breaststroke with a time of 1:06.37.
Junior Lily Powell (Selkirk/Bethlehem) placed
28th in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:08.73.
Geneseo’s 800-yard freestyle relay team closes out the Knights’ Friday
entrants.
The Knights are 18th in the team standings.
Eight Knights are competing in a total of 13 events at the NCAA Championships,
which conclude Saturday.
